MEF Energy Forum 2026: Advancing Energy Transition and Climate Resilience on the Road to COP31
Overview
The MEF Energy Forum 2026 (MEF 2026) returns for its ninth edition in June 2026 in Skopje, North Macedonia. Over the past editions, MEF has grown into a leading regional platform for dialogue and cooperation on energy and climate, bringing together ministers, regulators, international organizations, investors, and civil society to advance concrete policy discussions and regional initiatives in Southeast Europe.
The 2026 edition is designed as a key milestone on the “Road to COP31” and will be held as a COP31 Presidency official partner event, meaning that its discussions, messages, and outcomes will directly inform COP31 debates and contribute to shaping its agenda and long-term legacy.
MEF 2026 is organized in partnership with the EU Delegation to North Macedonia, the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of North Macedonia, and the COP31 Presidency.
By bringing together governments, international organizations, businesses, financial institutions, and civil society from the Western Balkans + Türkiye, the European Union, and international partners, MEF 2026 connects global climate ambition with practical regional implementation, while strengthening regional climate diplomacy outreach and cooperation within the region.
