Ambassador Aggeler, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor, is the Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia. Previously, she served as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim for U. S. Mission Pakistan. Ms. Aggeler has also served as the Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at U.S. Embassy Paris; the Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs and Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Press and Public Diplomacy. From 2013 to 2015, she was the Counselor for Public Affairs at U.S. Embassy Islamabad. She has also previously served at U.S. Embassy Islamabad; U.S. Embassy Skopje; U.S. Embassy Hanoi; Washington, D.C.; U.S. Embassy Paris; and U.S. Embassy New Delhi. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Ms. Aggeler served for the State Department in Burkina Faso, Hungary, and India. She worked at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. before joining her husband in their State Department postings and was previously a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Central African Republic.
