Nikola Dimitrov served as a Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia from 2017-2020 and Vice President of the Government of European Affairs in 2022. Prior to this, Dimitrov worked as an external expert at the International Center for Legal Cooperation and The Hague Institute for Global Justice. Dimitrov also served as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Macedonia to the OPCW, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to The Hague and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, National Coordinator for NATO Integration, Special Envoy of the Republic of Macedonia on the Name Issue, Co-Representative of the Republic of Macedonia before the International Court of Justice, Special Envoy of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration in Brussels, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Washington, D.C., National Security Advisor to the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
